Privacy Policy

This page explains the basic data practices for Commenta. It is product guidance and should be reviewed before a public launch.

Information Commenta Uses

Commenta may store account email, display name, profile settings, avatar URL, comments, replies, reactions, reports, followed teams or players, notification preferences, moderation state, and basic activity or analytics events needed to run and improve the product.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to provide accounts, discussion features, profiles, notifications, moderation, abuse prevention, support, product reliability, and security controls.

Authentication And Email

Commenta uses Firebase Authentication for signup, login, password reset, and optional verification email. Password reset emails are handled through Firebase. Product emails should focus on account access, replies, followed-team reminders, and bundled prediction recaps users can control from profile settings.

User Content

Comments, replies, profile identity choices, and reports may be visible to other users or reviewed by moderators depending on the feature. Do not post private, sensitive, financial, medical, legal, or confidential information.

Security And Abuse Prevention

Commenta uses rate limits, authentication checks, moderation tools, admin controls, validation, and logging needed to protect users and the service. No system can guarantee complete security.

Sports Data And External Sources

Commenta uses third-party sports data and public sports information to support discussion. Scores, schedules, standings, statistics, names, logos, and related information may be delayed, incomplete, cached, or corrected after display.

Images And Identification

Team logos, player images, and related sports visuals are used only for identification, navigation, and discussion context. User-uploaded avatars should be images the user has the right to use.
